[WIP] We interrupt the current programming. I bought a dress. It’s a Uniqlo collab. I really like the shape and the back, but it’s all polyester and it feels like I’m wearing a shower curtain (shout out to @fehrtrade who went viral with that type of stunt), so before I send it back, I put my @thriftystitcher hat on and copied it. The front was super straight forward but the back gave me quite a headache before I cracked the code and figured out there were hidden darts under the gathers. Now looking for suitable fabric in my stash. 🧵 [Encours] Nous interrompons la programmation habituelle. J’ai acheté une robe! I saw @anothersewingscientist make an Élodie wrap dress the other day so I took mine out. It was a contractual obligation and only got 2 wears. I’m not a fan of the fabric. I love the print but the viscose is flimsy and in this weather, sticky. I may have a nice Liberty print in stock to make another one, I think it’s worth it. 🧵 J’ai vu Vicki coudre une Élodie l’autre jour et j’ai sorti la mienne. [Work] Après le Record du Tour du Monde, on a passé en revue ce que j’ai fabriqué qui a bien fonctionné et ce qui n’a pas du tout fonctionné. Il m’a été signalé, à peine quelques heures après l’arrivée que mes protections d’émerillon, c’est de la 💩 et qu’il fallait trouver une solution. Briefing, débriefing, suggestions, utilisation, choix des matières, j’ai passé la semaine à faire des prototypes.
