The Fortuitous House of Holland

This is my new fabric drying on the line

I bought it at an op-shop on Saturday, just because I loved the slightly fluorescent orange and pink checks (which you don't quite see here). It's a high content polyester blend, not my cup of tea really, but I thought it would be a pretty fabric to make bags with and I took all 7m of it, which was 8€.

While the fabric was drying, I was doing some research for another project and I fortuitously saw the House of Holland website (go to AW11). I wonder why I now really want a little checkered coat with a bright colored contrasting collar.

But hey, will you look at that? Doesn't this bag remind you of a bag I made in the spring?

The House of Holland et le Hasard

C'est mon nouveau tissu qui sèche sur le fil ce matin.

Je l'ai trouvé samedi chez Emmaüs et je l'ai pris parce que le orange et le rose sont un peu fluorescents (on ne le voit pas sur cette photo). C'est probablement beaucoup de polyester et un peu de laine, pas mon tissu préféré en général, mais j'ai pensé que ça ferait de jolis sacs et j'ai pris les 7m que j'ai payé 8€.

Pendant que le tissu séchait, je faisait de la recherche pour un autre projet et je suis tombée par hasard sur le défilé de la maison House of Holland (Allez à AW11) et j'ai, tout d'un coup, je me demande pourquoi, eu envie d'un petit manteau à carreaux avec un col contrasté un peu fluo.

Et ce sac, il vous rappelle pas un sac que j'ai fait ce printemps?
